Tennis professional Yasmin Kashef is bringing her tennis expertise and enthusiasm to teach at West Hill Athletic Club. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Yasmin started tennis at age 8. At the age of 18, Yasmin was ranked #1 in Egypt and #120 worldwide junior tennis (ITF). She moved to the United States and played college tennis at Brenau University in Georgia, and at Sacramento State University, CA (Division 1). She then moved to Connecticut, and became #1 in New England for adult division. Yasmin is currently ranked 5.0 in NTR. She helped her team go to the Nationals twice in 2008 & 2010. She is a PTR certified instructor. She is also a cardio tennis, 10 & under tennis certified, 11-17 years old certified, and adult certified. Kashef taught at Travis Pointe Country Club in Ann Arbor, MI for 6 years. She then was the Director of Tennis at Saline Rec Center, and the JV tennis coach for the girls and boys team at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. She also taught at Ridgewood Country Club, Middlebury Racquet Club, and at Beaver Brook Racquet Club in CT. Yasmin enjoys practicing Yoga when she is off the court.
