My name is James “JimmyJamm” Jackson. I’m a Kalamazoo native, and I attended Kalamazoo Central High School, graduating in the class of ‘79. I also attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College where I received my associate in arts, in 1983. I still have to finish my goal and mission of completing my bachelor’s degree at Western Michigan University. I have one more year to complete. It is on my bucket list.
I’m a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (NASM) and am also in the process of completing my certification as a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach.
I volunteer in the community as the vice president of Kalamazoo Eastside Neighborhood Association. I’m also a certified ServSafe manager and work with the Fresh Food Initiative Program with the food bank Loaves and Fishes.
I started my bodybuilding career in 1981 and I competed in several bodybuilding competitions locally. These competitions led me to the national stage of competition. I love to workout! That is my passion and to get great gains no matter what the goal is. This is my life and I take working out very seriously. I don’t know if you know, but here’s a gold nugget for you: it’s the fountain of youth and it slows the aging process down.
